Cardi B Beat Beyonce’s Record On Billboard Hot R&B/HipHop Charts
Cardi B catches a dub every week, essentially.
Cardi B is out here winning whether you like it or not. Many assumed her career wouldn’t last past the success of “Bodak Yellow” but that was clearly not the case. She’s out her living her best life and slowly becoming a global superstar. Last week, news broke that she tied with Queen Bey as the only other woman to have four songs in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Charts. However, she’s know in the ranks with Kendrick Lamar and Drake as she currently holds half of the top 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop charts.
Cardi B became the first woman to dominate half of the Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop Charts top 10 positions. The Bronx native has now surpassed Beyonce’s record and becomes the third artist to ever do it. Kendrick Lamar’s only done it once while Drake has managed to do it eight different times. In addition to all of that, Cardi B becomes the first artist ever to reach that achievement with their first five Billboard chart entries.
The success is due to her recent collaboration with Bruno Mars on “Finesse (Remix)” which just hit number one on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop charts. This marks her second number one on that specific chart following “Bodak Yellow.”
As of right now, “Bodak Yellow” sits at number ten while “Bartier Cardi” climbed two positions to number seven. Meanwhile, Migos’ “MotorSport” sits at number four while G-Eazy’s “No Limit” descended one position to number three.
