50 Cent’s personality has helped him maintain a persona in hip hop despite the fact that he doesn’t really release much music nor does he seem to be making music of it either. However, he’s played the role of an elder statesmen to an extent and has constantly shown love to the younger artists he feels is worthy of receiving his respect. It shocked many when he co-signed Tekashi 6ix9ine’s claim of being the “King Of New York.” However, that hasn’t stopped him from roasting the “GUMMO” rapper.Tekashi 6ix9ine was called out yesterday after he previewed a new song that allegedly lifted bars from a classic NYC freestyle. It ended up being posted by Akademiks who also showed that Jadakiss was in awe over the fact that 6ix9ine did so. However, 50 Cent chimed in and proved exactly why he’s one of the greatest at throwing shade. Not only did he shit on 6ix9ine for biting, he also had something to say to Jay-Z for “biting” Biggie’s lyrics.
“Damn jay z did that to big a hundred times.” He wrote in the comment sections.
In 6ix9ine’s defense, it does seem like he’s paying homage to the NYC rapper who initially did the freestyle, Yoppy Montana. He posted a video on his Instagram of him Facetiming 6ix9ine and the two of them show nothing but love for each other.
