French police believe Kim’s driver might have tipped off the thieves that carried out the $9 million jewelry heist.
A rep for the Paris prosecutor’s office had revealed that some of those arrested were in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, which apparently suggests that the robbery was carried out by a longstanding criminal organization. The oldest of those arrested is reportedly 72. Photos of three of the suspects obtained earlier today, though, showed men who are obviously younger than the aforementioned age groups.
New arrest photos have now been released that seem to show elder members of the crime operation, though there are new younger faces too. The photos also show officers carrying items out of the suspects’ homes, such as big-screen TVs, to be used as evidence. See the entire new crop of “perp walk” photos here.
The report about Kim’s driver being involved fuels the narrative that the robbery may have been, to some degree, an inside job, as was heavily speculated. Police reportedly believe that the driver may have leaked details regarding Kim and her family’s whereabouts around the time of the robbery. Though there may be allegations of foul play among those working for the family, the wave of arrests should cease the notion that the whole robbery was a publicity stunt executed by the Kardashians.
